TVA teaches Bulls Gap students about water conservation and ecosystems

STAFF REPORT • Sep 23, 2019 at 2:01 PM

BULLS GAP — Last week, Bulls Gap School partnered with the Tennessee Valley Authority to teach students about the importance of water and ecosystems.

Students were educated about water conservation, water recycling, and why it’s important to take care of the water our community uses and reuses every day.

TVA employees showed students how to conduct and measure tests for water quality, and they checked the quality of the water from Cherokee Lake, measuring the oxygen level and pH level to see if it could support life.

Students were pleased with the test results, which showed that the lake water can indeed sustain life.
